This piece is part of an ongoing series exploring brushwork methods. Brushstrokes are applied by hand attempting to replicate the motions of a mechanical process. The resulting imperfections and idiosyncrasies give rise to the captivating patterns and compositions seen throughout this collection.
 
The name is derived from the visual composition either during or after painting. In this case, a pure celebration of the hand technique used; the white strokes from an overloaded brush are lightly brushed on, creating a patchy coverage of high contrast.
